A native of New York City, Joanne traveled the world as a performer before settling in Las Vegas where she studied Interior Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology.  In addition to designing for Urban Chic,  Joanne works as the design consultant for a local homebuilder, assisting with fixture, finish, and material selections as well as assisting homebuyers select options for their new homes. Finally, Joanne owns and operates her own company, Tatem Interiors, LLC, which provides everything from furniture/space planning consultation to complete interior remodeling.

While her style tends to lean more towards clean/comtemporary, recent projects have led her designs in many different directions … everything from Southern Plantation to French Country to Nature Inspired/Green Design to Vintage/Eclectic. She enjoys being adventurous in her designs, while keeping mindful of the function of the space she is creating.
